Akstur — the driving log for business trips in your own car Business driving in your own car has to be documented, and the Norwegian tax handbook (Skatte-ABC) says an accurate log, kept day by day, is most often decisive evidence. Akstur is that kind of log: every trip with date, from and to, kilometres, purpose and type, the odometer noted every month, and a year-end report made for your accountant. No account, no server, no ads, no subscription. Akstur is Icelandic for “driving” — a sister app to Vegvísir and Smiðja. QUICK TO KEEP A new trip starts where the last one ended, with today's date and the driver filled in. “Repeat last trip” and “Return trip” cover most of a working week. Saved places — home, the office, your customers — appear as suggestions and can carry a default purpose and type. Type the odometer at start and end and the kilometres are calculated for you. THE FIELDS IN EVERY TRIP Date and time, start, destination, kilometres, purpose, and whether the trip is business, private or commute. Odometer at start and end when you want them. The odometer reading is noted at least once a month, as the Norwegian tax guidance describes — Akstur can remind you. A LOG THAT SHOWS ITS OWN HISTORY Nothing is deleted. A trip or a reading that should not be there is voided and stays, struck through. Every edit is recorded with its time, the old value and the new, on the trip and in one combined change history. A log that can be quietly corrected is worth little; one that shows its corrections is more credible than paper. YEAR OVERVIEW WITH RECONCILIATION The odometer moved this much; the log explains this much. Akstur works out the difference and says so plainly — in March, not in an audit. Split by business, private and commute, and the amount at the per-kilometre rate. The rates follow the tax office's table for car, motorcycle, moped, snowmobile, ATV and motorboat. If a new year's rate is not in the app yet, you enter it yourself. Akstur includes the passenger and other supplements, and tolls, parking and ferries are noted per trip. Whether you drive for your own business, for an employer or for both, Akstur keeps the trips apart, so each trip counts only once. YEAR-END REPORT, CSV AND BACKUP The year-end report as PDF: vehicle, readings, every trip, the amount and the change history, for your accountant, and for the tax office if they ask. CSV of the whole log and of the odometer readings for a spreadsheet, and a separate file with only the business trips, for your accountant. Backup as one file you own; restoring merges and never deletes. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING Akstur has no server and never sends your log anywhere; it goes only where you share it. 20 trips a month are free, for good. Need more?
