Note: Access to a Nextcloud server with the Notes app installed is required to use this app. Visit https://nextcloud.com for more information.

Nextcloud Notes is a notes editor that syncs with the Notes app (https://github.com/nextcloud/notes/releases) on your server.

Once you have logged in to your server, all notes will be kept in sync between devices and also the web interface. Optionally supports sync on startup.

You can create and delete notes directly on the device. Notes can be organized in categories. Edit as plain text or use markdown for rich formatting. Notes can be copied or exported to other apps or services in several formats.

If you have a sync client (optional) installed on your desktop computer all notes will be there too, and can be edited with any text editor.

Too plain

Not even most basic formatting options. Just plain text. Opening note in a native nextcloud app gives much more options.

Do not expect much from this app

The developer surely means well and has at least put this up here on the appstore.
However, this is as basic a text editor can be and does not even have support for categories if you are running ownCloud instead of nextcloud.

With that said, I have hopes the developer will adress this in the future.

Deletes note content

I have had two occurances of all my content in a (long, not elsewhere backed up) note being erased completely. This seemed to happen after some combination of presses of enter/backspace and space.

1/5 stars until this is fixed as it is unacceptable.
