We are excited to announce the latest update to the SmartCharge app, introducing the ability for anyone to charge as guests (adhoc charging). Users can now start charging without registering.

The update also includes many other improvements. Please find the full list below:

• Added support for guest (adhoc) charging, enabling end users to charge without logging in
• Improved user interface for a more intuitive charging experience
• We’ve added support for Vipps in Norway
• You can pay with a credit card without creating a user
• We now support Apple Pay
• All our operators now have access to the installer module
• Login button displayed instead of the settings button after the user has logged in
• We’ve simplified adding a company for a private owner in the installer module
• Possibility to display the connector name or Charger Code as the name (location owners and operators can toggle the option in the portal)
• We’ve added new buttons for offline chargers and unpaid orders redirecting to help articles
• Improved layout when the user has unpaid orders and added the possibility for the user to pay himself/herself
• Implemented QR code scanning feature to streamline charger identification
• If you have the SmartCharge app installed, and open the web app (app.smartcharge.io) in a browser we will launch the app if you have it installed
• Reworked the wording for the Max Kw of the chargers
• Improved localization in Norwegian and Swedish

Lätt att hitta, svårt att ladda.

Lätt att hitta stationerna och filtrera på möjliga anslutningar, men att få igång laddning och att avsluta den ifall man nu fått igång den verkar vara problematiskt.
Ett annat problem är att appen visar att två av tre anslutningar är lediga trots att de i själva verket inte är det eftersom bara en anslutning i taget som kan användas.

Ytterligare en app man inte vill ha

Bedrövligt att det ska krävas en app för att ladda bilen. Ingen vill tvingas ladda ner massa skräp och registrera sig för att tanka bilen, så vad får er att tro att elbilsägare är annorlunda?
