Lost the remote in the couch again? Tailfeather lives in your Mac's menu bar and talks straight to your Apple TV. Click the icon or press a shortcut, then swipe, click and type your way around, with what's playing right there at a glance. A REMOTE THAT FEELS FAMILIAR • A touch surface: drag or swipe to move around, click to select. Prefer arrows? Switch to directional buttons. • Back, TV, Play/Pause, Mute, Power and volume, with the holds and double presses you know: hold Back for the Home Screen, double-press TV for the app switcher, hold TV for Control Center. • Or keep your hands on the keyboard: the arrow keys navigate, Return selects, Esc goes back and Space plays and pauses. SEE WHAT'S PLAYING • Artwork, title and artist or show, with a live position you can drag to seek. • During video, skip back or forward 10 seconds and turn captions on or off. TYPE ON YOUR MAC When the Apple TV asks for text, a text field opens on your Mac, and what you type shows up on the TV as you type it. No more spelling out searches letter by letter. AND MORE • Open apps on the Apple TV. • Guide and channel buttons in live-TV apps. • Open the remote from anywhere with a keyboard shortcut, pin it on screen, and start Tailfeather at login. MAC + PC = LOVE Add the free Tailfeather for Windows and share a clipboard between your Mac and a PC: copy text or an image on one and paste it on the other a moment later, straight across your local network and encrypted end to end. Get it at onelittlebird.io/tailfeather. NO ACCOUNT, NO CLOUD Pair once with the code your Apple TV shows. Tailfeather then talks to it directly on your local network, and keeps the pairing in your Mac's keychain. REQUIREMENTS • macOS 26 or later. • An Apple TV with tvOS 15 or later, on the same network as your Mac. • For what's playing to show up with a single pairing code, set Settings → AirPlay and Apple Home → Allow Access to "Anyone on the Same Network" on the Apple TV.
