Most accurate character recognition in many languages

I've tried several scanners and this was the only one that would recognise and reproduce non-English characters from many different languages (in my case an old book in Swedish).

The result was about 95% rather than 100% perfect so some parts of the text still needed to be corrected afterwards. But the difference from similar apps was enormous! The first one I tried could recognise only English characters so I had to correct ALL atypical charactes manually, which took forever.

Text Scanner (OCR) was easy to use and saved me SO much time.

I used my iPad to scan, sent the scans to my Macbook via Dropbox and then ran it through the app Clean Text to get rid of the line breaks from the book. I'm VERY pleased with the result!

The only drawback is that it seems to be a subscription service – with no information on how to halt subscription if/when the app is no longer needed (I only needed it for a specific project). I would have preferred to just buy it once (after an initial trial period) and would have been willing to pay more if that option had been available.

This app is awesome!
* 5 free scans per day.
* Excellent OCR for many languages.
* Full support for take photo or pick from photos (e.g screenshots), share, crop area to be scanned, built-in Google translate (super useful) and even EDIT recognized text before sharing (pure genius)
* The ads aren't in the way except you have to wait a few seconds between operations but still worth it 👍
