No auto download, requires babysitting 600 mb downloads

Downloads pause when the app enters background, or when the screen turns off. Downloading 500-600 mb of magazine requires babysitting the iPad and touching it until the download is compete, during which time you are unable to use your pad for anything.

Enable auto or background downloading and I will recommend the app, because the magazine is amazing.

Scrolling and names in TOC absent out of nowhere

This app used to be a very good way to read Wired magazine when on the move. I've been subscribing with it since 2018. It was a mix between the web and the print version, where the TOC displayed the names of articles so it was easy to navigate and in articles longer than a page view you would scroll just like on the web. It was a joy to read.

Since earlier this year CondeNast removed scrolling and instead presents the edition page by page and TOC shows Page 1, Page 2 and so on.

So you can't navigate around in the edition easily nor can you scroll like how is natural when on a computer. Even PDF's scroll for crying out loud. This looks a like something you send to the printers rathern than like a publication.

This is so unfitting for a magazine that has been on the front of the digital revolution since 1993.
CondeNast support pretends like it's raining and refuses to understand proper simple English. They spend man hours on this game, instead of just owning up on their own ill informed decisions. Answers are too stupid to be AI.

This app is now useless and an affront on subscribers.

Desperate need of improvement

Old and outdated app without features such as highlighting in articles, searching for specific articles or wording. Wired is a great magazine oriented on tech and the future. It would be nice of them to also have an app with that look and feel and features. This is just a glorified e-reader.
