Adobe Digital Editions 4+

I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions thinking it might be a decent e-reader, but I was wrong! This flaming garbage heap of an app crashed more times than a drunk driver on a merry-go-round. The user interface is about as intuitive as a brick to the face, and trying to navigate through it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack while blindfolded and drunk.

And don't even get me started on the customer support! It's like trying to communicate with a brick wall that's been lobotomized. I'd have better luck getting help from a rock at the bottom of the ocean.

Save yourself the trouble and go find a different e-reader app. Literally anything else would be better than this festering cesspool of incompetence that Adobe calls an app.

This app is pathetic. The authorisation section is not working to type anything iniPad. The windows desktop version (4.5) is also giving issues like if any diagram is there that will mot appear in full! Only partly able to see it and in next page it is totally vanishing leaving no trace. I had feedback the same thing to ISACA.

Apple should give feedback to Adobe to fix the problems including the requirement of a up & down scroll bar. This is certainly not a user friendly app.

I am really wondering how is DRM going to support the user needs if things are like this!!!

Apple should remove this app from App Store if Adobe is unable to fix the problems because it will help the users to feedback the issuer of secure documents to provide alternative options.

Bottom line : if a high security is hindering the legitimate use of an authorised material is as good as it is not authorised.

I also don’t know whether I have to buy the printed copy of the book which I want to read. If so it is going to be a double expense for me due the great work of DRM supported apps.

The font size and scrolling is well in the realm of nightmares — left to right scrolling on the phone is never a good thing, and the font size is so large that even at the smallest setting a paragraph fails to fit on the page. Don’t really have anything good to say about it.
