I have to use my data to update the app every time there is an update. So 7pm I return to my condo gate, I want to open the door, so I open the Aliv app and guess what? Mandatory update first.

Similarly, when I get a call from the intercom to unlock the lift or open the gate, I pick up the call, then whoops! Mandatory app update first!

It doesn't even happen in the background, everyone is just standing around waiting for updates to finish.

My condominium management made the use of this app mandatory. When people call me, i can pick the call but cannot remotely open the lift. I have to hang up, reopen the app and hope the visitor is not trying to call me again via the intercom to open the lift for him

This system has failed 4 times in one year alone. Unless you enjoy being locked out of your home, this is not the app to use!
