At first, I didn't know about this game till Anniversary promotion came out & the team decided to make it free for awhile. I didn't noticed it was actually an paid app. I gave it a try & downloaded it & it suprised me because it turn out to be a good game. In many ways, this game reminds me of some of the old games I played when I was a kid.Some people may not like it, to me this game is good. I'm not always the strategic role playing kind of guy but again, this game is good.

Played this game ever since v1.0. The game HAD so much superb features: a ‘Pokémon-like’ catch and train your team, featuring a free roaming world with towns to visit and a versatile battle system that engages the player and makes players plan their battles. Superb 5 star game. BUT all these ONLY EXISTED in Act 1 out of 10 Acts currently available. Players gave a >4 star rating for THIS portion alone.Acts 2 and beyond, the game immediately develops into those boring, run-of-the-mill gatcha games with lewd characters that you can find everywhere. I continued playing hoping more of Act 1 will return as developers still updated the game regularly. Then, story updates stopped… Evertale2.0 was released. Everything changed. On top of the existing 10 Acts, they threw away the game’s unique engaging battle system and introduced up to 20platoons which forced players to just Skip battles. Furthermore battles are now mostly AI CONTROLLED favouring Whales obviously. Evertale already has INCREDIBLY lousy gatcha rates which you can read about in many other reviews, but the developers decided to add more ‘money spending hooks’ to the game such as guild wars and cross server wars which are so repetitive and pitted animosity amongst players for laughable amount of rewards. Compared to v1.0’s pvp seasons (which I enjoyed), the current wars are a waste of time. ADVISE TO NEW PLAYERS: just play Act 1 and delete the game after that. The developers have clearly turned a promising game into a money-making app without the interests of players at heart.

Mechanics and character designs are unimaginative, UI and controls are annoying and strange. The “guaranteed SSR or SR” is basically saying “here is your SR weapon that you likely won’t even use”. Gameplay-wise, this game attempts to take after a certain monster catching game, but without the variety or uniqueness. I’m fairly certain that there are less than 50 moves spread over 200 characters, so all they try to do is sell you the waifus that have the moves instead of the monsters that have the moves. There’s also some issue that you have to download things every time you launch the game. Overall this is not a game I would recommend unless you have way too much money to spend (there isn’t even a safety net for the summons), and too much time (there’s a stupid energy system for non-story dungeons so good luck with that, can’t believe that’s in a paid game.).

I spend my 6mth collecting gems up to 18k which would give me 18, 10 times Summons however after all 180 summons I did not get any SSR units only copies of the same SSR weapons which leads to a conclusion that this game is just a game trying to rip money off players with the 0.1% chance in getting a SSR unit.I would consider any of you who considers in investing in this game to find other games as it is just an inferior game that is only enjoyable during the first storyline and it just gets repetitive and making you pay to get any SSR units or spend hundreds of hours to see your hopes of getting a free SSR shatter. Overall this game is totally not even worth bothering there are loads of games out there which deserve much more investments than this game.
