I give credit where credit’s due so this is my honest feedback for Go-Jek so far. Granted that their entry into Singapore has been just, therefore there are its bad and good points which I hope the people in the company would seriously look into and make improvements.
The good points for me so far is that there is no monopooly in terms if Private Cars for Hires; more cars, more drivers means better and competitive prices for consumers one would think but at times, only minute difference is available between Grab and Go-Jek, although at times, Go-Jek is cheaper but by just.
Waiting time for users is relatively slow; we have to wait longer to firstly get our booking through and once through, it takes longer for drivers to arrive as compared to Grab.
I think the app works fine most of the time, and I’m not sure why, but every now and then I encounter a day where 3 Drivers IN A ROW would end up not moving at all. I usually leave my house an hour earlier than I need to just because I hate being late, so imagine how I felt when I have 3 Drivers not moving, each one left me waiting for more than 10 minutes before I cancelled.
The other issue is Drivers constantly telling us passengers to re-book. I understand the way the app works is the bookings are automatically accepted, but what’s the point of accepting a booking just for the driver to tell us to re-book? I’m leaving this review because this is something I just encountered. 3 bookings in a row, first one cancelled, next 2 asked me to rebook. Hence I’m leaving this review from inside my grab (fare is $3.20 more) but I couldn’t afford to wait any longer.
I appreciate gojek coming into the market to break the monopoly, but honestly there is still a lot of room for improvement. I do hope management takes consumer feedback seriously, and I’m excited to see the app improve. 👍🏽
Reasonable prices but bad service
Drivers never arrives on time, they will inform the you arrival time as approximately 5 minutes but arrives in at least 10, in the best cases. Worse cases drivers just NO SHOW to pick up. App shows that driver is about to arrive and suddenly the car appears in a very large distance and needing around 10 or even more minutes to get to your location. Obviously drivers are doing this to force the client to cancel the ride, since apparently they regret getting this ride route and don’t want to cancel by themselves. It’s very unprofessional and cause a lot of problems to the client, mainly when we have an appointment or having small children like me, since it can happen sequentially, since a lot of Gojek’s drivers are following such behave. I would prefer pay a little bit more to have the minimum of quality and respect in the offered service. Me and my family gave already 2 or 3 chances to Gojek to be improved, but since 5 months we are using its service and the quality remains the same, unfortunately very low level, that is why, I am disconnecting from Gojek and do not recommend this company to anyone.
