I‘ve been using Journey for years. Literally every journal entry since TakeFlava stopped has been done here for me. There was simply little reason to stop using it. Pick one app, one that has no obvious bugs, a smooth interface that feels right for you, and just keep using it. The point is keep writing. What feels perfect might change slightly from time to time, but it never changes that the good is good. For me, the ‘good’ app for journal writing has been and I believe will continue to be Journey.

Good journal app, but beware of method to unsubscribe

it’s a good journal app, no doubt about that. however, if you have subscribed to their membership, be aware that you won’t be able to unsubscribe through the app itself. what’s even more confusing is, if you have purchased the iOS features, the “Add-On” screen shows you are “Enrolled to Membership”, but without any “Unsubscribe” button, you might think that the membership is about the iOS features that was purchased separately. nope, it’s about the yearly subscription, which you can only unsubscribe by going to the website. When contact the developers about it, they replied one time then did not respond anymore, especially if ask about refund. apparently there won’t be any refund, as stated in their FAQ on the website. iOS app doesn’t have unsubscribe button, no info about unsubscribe on the app itself… I thought i’m using the iOS app, why is the unsubscribing only handled on the website? Why isn’t this stated properly? It’s a strange tactic isn’t it, and put it on customers to read the FAQ and be responsible for it without any refund. if this is the way the developers want to earn our money, then as users, please be aware about it.

Hi, we are sorry to hear this. Please cancel the subscription via the store that you have purchased from. For example, if you bought from Google Play Store or the in-store, you cannot cancel the subscription in App Store. If you have difficulty cancelling the subscription, you can always contact us at our help desk. Terms and condition for the cancellation of the subscription still apply.

Would have love to give this app 5 stars but there are really too many bugs which were yet to be resolved. Even though I have posted on the community, nothing was being done & I felt that for a paying app, these minor bugs shouldnt even be there. Despite setting the font colors for each template, once you edit the entry, all the colors you have preset would not appear under the Journey Tab. Also, you are not allowed to edit existing templates. The only way is to re-create them even if you need to make any minor edits. And if you copy the existing template to create a new 1, all the customisation would be lost. It's actually quite frustrating. Only got the 1-year subscription because it is on discount to try out but unlikely I would renew it.

It’s an awesome journalling app that has everything I want and need. I found the UI to be clean and easy to navigate. I have been thinking of moving from Day One to Journey but there is one thing that I found super bothersome. Whenever I open an entry the font size always increases to a point where it’s unreadable, I couldn’t scroll down. Especially ones with images. It seems pretty buggy because sometimes the words would get cut off halfway and I can’t read the rest of the entry. I wish there could be a fix for it, then maybe I’ll pay for premium!
