I been trying this app for few weeks now. as much as the wait is long but I still felt it was pretty reasonable. For someone that pay for ebooks all the time, naturally I buy as I read on. tbh, I felt it really reasonable considering all the to alt options they have inside. (maybe it just for me) a little down side is that the app kind of don't link to my app store account so whenever I make a purchase it won't be reflected sadly. personally find it a hassle to keep emailing in but so far I been receiving really good customer service and the points was issued back to me fast enough. not much complaint ◡̈ enjoying the stories so far and the comments from readers. pretty entertaining 😂
The best app
Nishtha-23
Galatea is a unique reading app that brings stories to life through interactive elements such as sound effects, text message conversations, and immersive visuals. It offers a wide variety of romance, fantasy, mystery, and drama stories, making it easy to find something that matches different tastes. One of its biggest strengths is how engaging the reading experience feels compared to traditional e-books. The app's design is user-friendly, and many stories keep readers invested with cliffhangers and emotional plotlines. However, the biggest downside is its payment system. While you can read some chapters for free, progressing through stories often requires waiting for passes to recharge or purchasing coins, which can become frustrating and expensive for frequent readers. The quality of writing also varies depending on the author and story.Overall, Galatea is an entertaining app for readers who enjoy immersive, binge-worthy fiction and don't mind the freemium model. It excels at creating an engaging reading experience, but the cost of unlocking content may not appeal to everyone.Rating: 4/5
Interesting!!

I’ve tried 3 stories so far and the immersive experience has been quite different and interesting in a good way! Stories are exciting too. The only downside is the wait time—which seems to increase every day so the maximum you can read for free is probably one chapter per story per day (unless you’re paying—which I did for one story that was really exciting). I genuinely don’t mind paying for a good story/experience since I pay for ebooks and audiobooks in general but it would be nice to get more points out of each payment AND if they could implement a better bonus point system (such as reading 5 days straight grants you 10 points etc. or reading 5 chapters a day grants you additional 10 points etc.) because right now the amount of points you’re able to gain (both through the free system and actual payment) is pretty low so that also makes me less inclined to keep paying :( if the value I receive is higher then yes, why not? :)
Mostly good but still annoying in some ways

The stories are really good and entertaining to read but having to wait 24 hours for the next chapter is really annoying. Even thought the chapters are very interesting, the long wait time honestly makes me want to find a physical book or another platform to read on. I’d like to suggest making the wait times shorter, like 12 or 6 hours so its less annoying to wait for so long to continue reading it. Or what I can suggest for other readers, is to find something else to do, like your work or play a game. Find something to entertain yourself so the wait doesn’t feel that long. All in all, this is truely a good app with entertaining stories. I just wish that the wait time could be cut down at least by a few hours so its less redundant to wait for the next chapter when it’s really getting to the good parts.

Glad you're enjoying the stories! We totally get that the wait for the next chapter can feel long, especially when you're hooked on a good part. We'll pass this feedback about shortening wait times along to the team. Thanks for the thoughtful suggestion!
Spooky szn is here, and so are the updates. We've banished bugs like they're bad exes, polished the app 'til it glows, and made sure your fall reading slaps harder than a perfectly timed plot twist.
Cozy sweaters, pumpkin everything, and stories that keep you up past midnight? That's the vibe. Need us? Knock knock: https://galatea.zendesk.com/hc/en-us"
