Good when it works, not so nice when things go amiss.

I can say with confidence that Surfshark work well for countries outside of China. However, when I’m China it works well, when it works. However, the frequency when things go awry is too frequent form my experience, and going for days without VPN is frustrating. The latest being, while I’m connected to the VPN, my iPhone is totally isolated and nothing comes in or goes out. When I turn VPN off, the accessible sites work, but the “blocked sites” remain inaccessible. So far, no resolution yet ☹️

Disappointment that Surfshark doesn't offer a dedicated app for Apple TV

I'm writing to express my disappointment that Surfshark doesn't offer a dedicated app for Apple TV as of February 2024. As a loyal customer for the past five years, I've appreciated the service's cross-platform compatibility. However, the lack of Apple TV support significantly limits its usefulness for me, especially considering I own three Apple TV devices.While I understand that developing platform-specific apps takes time and resources, I kindly request you prioritize developing an Apple TV app in the near future. This would greatly enhance the value proposition for customers like myself and ensure consistent service across all our devices.

Latest update breaks connectivity in Singapore 😢

Websites can’t load and apps freeze or report timeouts when VPN is turned on after latest update. Kindly allow option to revert to previous version or release fix asap 🙏🏼 Only current workaround is to turn it off 😭*Update - May 22*Connectivity has been restored, but takes a while to load data when sending initial requests still.Hope it smoothens out over the next couple days.SurfShark is generally a good service I feel. Some web site redirects and certain apps still have trouble with it, but those are more annoying issues and not critical.Look forward to more of those getting fixed as future releases get put out.

Beware of auto-subscription

Signing up for Surfshark means you are also signing up for auto-renewal. Ask for a refund and the friendly staff will point you to the ToS. The iOS app itself does not provide a way to cancel the auto-renewal. You will need use a browser and go to the website, login and go to Accounts>Subscription>Payment>Scroll down if you have to and uncheck Auto-renewal.The auto-renewal will not be based on a discounted price. If you subscribed for 3 years, you will get renewed for 3 years no discount. Beware, if you want to use Surfshark, cancel the auto-renewal first. The app is good, but it’s a shame they have to resort to such tactics.
