Would be cool if the distracting app time limit had an added type whereby instead of limiting the total number of hours used in a day, we could limit the number of times we’re allowed to open an app per hour. During moments where I don’t have work to do but don’t want to spend the time mindlessly closing and reopening my social media apps, it would help by forcing me to find something more mindful to occupy myself with.

This app has significantly reduced the time that I spent on my social media apps as each break is max 15 mins and you have to wait longer for each break, ended up you will just be too lazy to use your socials. Kudos to the team that designed this app!
Most Useful But Expensive App

I downloaded it after seeing some advertisements. But this app worked better than my own iphone screentime app limit. It has helped to prevent me from opening apps like instagram during work time and it worked so well to keep me focus! Update: After using for one year, I like that it is able to block apps during work time and all. But it has not been effective against blocking apps during sleep time even with paid subscription (which is very expensive). You are still able to alter the blocked time before it starts which defeats the purpose. And sometimes after multiple breaks, the app glitches and stop blocking the apps altogether.It has been a good one year with Opal but it no longer works well for me. Will be deleting this app :(

Help to restrict too much time spent on games and will make you stop procrastinating. Will definitely improve your screen time and spent more time off the phone! Good app for teenagers or people who is addicted to mobile phones.
A new Opal.
Opal has always worked when you set the rules. 4.0 adds something new: Opal can now read your day on its own: it learns when you sleep, when you focus, when you scroll. It steps in when it helps and stays out of the way the rest of the time.
Heads up, two things have moved:
• Blocks are now called Rules. Same feature, new name. You'll find everything in the My Apps tab,.
• Breaks are now called Unblock. You can unblock at any time from the My Apps tab.
What's new:
• Timer. One tap to focus for a set block of time, when you need to study or get in the zone.
• Opal Score. A daily reading on Focus, Sleep, and Rest.
• Sounds. A library of focus mixes and ambient tracks.
