Since long time I have tried quite a few ways to practice American accent such as reading book, listening to mp3 and repeat. None gives me success. Bold Voice creates a constant feedback and it helps me to realize some of my pronunciation weaknesses. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to have American accent or just want to have better English pronunciation.

Let me start with a bit of background. I can work in 4 languages and read books in 5. In at least two foreign ones, according to tests, I actually know more words and use better grammar than native speakers.And still, people tell me: “We can’t understand you.”My funniest experience? Vietnamese. Not even one of those 5 languages. Online tests say I know around 1200 words, but locals can’t understand a single one. Maybe “Xin Chao”, but honestly, they’re guessing that one.So I tried Bold Voice. Bold attempt, really. I’m on the paid plan and use it daily. There are small bugs in the app, but that’s fine. The main issue is the “compare me saying…” part. I often hear no difference, and results feel random. The best way to improve so far was to change my microphone. (By the way, the app sometimes struggles with mic changes on iOS.)What I expect from the app is help when I can’t hear the difference myself. I can learn fast. Just show me clearly what’s right and what’s wrong.I know there are different paths to success, but please add one for people like us - those who don’t have perfect musical hearing. Because we’re the ones who really need what Bold Voice is trying to be.

Downloaded this app, was asked many many things, before going to login, then asked more questions for data collection, with the excuse that they would provide some ‘personalised plan’. I kept going thinking it will eventually lead me to some content, but it just asked more and more (probably collected in their data pool) and then ended with a subscription request while giving nothing. Apps need to make money, but this is too much…

We offer a free accent assessment called SpeechScan that analyzes your speech in real-time and personalizes your plan further. You can also access all the content for free for 7 days with a free trial. We hope you give the app another shot soon!
We've been busy behind the scenes smoothing out rough edges and tightening up the app. This update includes cleaner performance, quicker interactions, and a handful of bug fixes to keep everything running the way it should.
