Pixel Starship is definitely a game for people who want a more immersive mobile gaming experience than compared to many of the idle or pay to win MMORPGs.For starters, you'll be facing off against people your own ship levels most of the times during pvp, and while you do get attacked from higher level ships from time to time, the amount they can loot off you is quite minimal. Like many games, putting dollars into the game can speed up your progress, but don't let that deter you as F2P players can work their way in just as easily. In fact, F2P players have a lower chance of making mistakes in terms of progression, as having an over levelled ship but an under levelled crew can prove to be disastrous in the higher tiers. Don't be afraid to socialise and ask for help, and definitely join an Alliance early as advice can be very important and help save costs wether if it's buying that crew on sale or getting an upgrade. I've throughly enjoyed myself, and have first handedly felt the warm reception of the PSS community. Don't be pressured to aim for the top at the start, have a firm grasp of the game (especially AI) and you'll slowly be on your way up. Game is still a little buggy, but the developers are quick to respond and deal with them. Be prepared though to endure stealth updates, as the developers seems to be play testing a lot of features. Point is to play the game with an open mindset, as it is a beta game and changes are imminent. Look past the flaws and you'll find a game that is easy to pick up, but a good challenge to master!
