I am sure the cost / benefit comparison has been done post implementation of subscription fees. Few of my friends and relatives (whom I recommended Mailonline) had deleted the application as they exceeded the free article per month after couple weeks of usage. I think MailOnline management would be able to see the long term impact in advertising revenue (lower viewer) vs subscription revenue... Overall, I like all the news article. At least I am certain that the news from MailOnline are all genuine !

A reader for the longest time, 30 plus years, from free to paid, recently u can’t read the comments without getting angry. The page will turn and u can only read one a line or two when u are lying down. If I’m not wrong, it was ok before on landscape and we could read more comments.

I have subscribe for the paid subscription. But in August it keep telling me that I have used up all my free article.What a joke, paid for subscription and the app does not work. Think it is better to keep it free as it works.So frustrating

I’ve used this app for about 5-8 years and i like it a lot. Being someone from outside of the UK/US. This app is a platform where i can learn fascinating events about places. Unfortunately, I updated the app today and the first thing that prompt when i open the app was to start a free trial or start limited access. Im disappointed with the changes with the paid sub implementation. I will need to resort to using a web browser on my mobile now to freely read the articles i want.
