Generally a great app but AirBnB fees tend to be a little high. Some places charge high cleaning fees (i.e $170+) but the place was not sparking clean, used towels were left in the cupboard, shampoo and body wash not stocked up, clean towels left in the dryer, no cloth, sponge and dish washing liquid for us to clean up after cooking.My stays in Barcelona, London and Rome were great but in Venice (mouldy bread and biscuits) and for 3 bookings I did in Perth (some plates and utensils in the cupboard were dusty and dirty, used towels with period stains left in the cupboard, very disappointing)Cooking amenities were not well stocked too, and 1 of the places I booked, did not have wifi. Not sure how I missed out on the wifi part. But generally AirBnB is a more economical option than hotels, and allows big groups to mingle and chit chat.
Terrible Host and Passive Airbnb Response

We had a very unpleasant experience with the host. The bedding provided was yellowed and appeared unhygienic, the bathroom had a leaking issue, and there were cockroaches in the property. Despite these serious issues, the host refused to take responsibility and instead blamed others, including the cleaner and the middleman. When these excuses failed, the host went so far as to accuse the tenant of being too demanding.What made the situation worse was Airbnb’s extremely passive response. They failed to address our concerns promptly and even deleted our review. We were left with no choice but to stay in this disgusting property, as it was already late at night and we couldn’t find alternative accommodation. Airbnb offered no immediate solution and only allowed us to raise these issues after we had checked out. The entire experience was frustrating and unacceptable.Basic cleanliness and proper communication are fundamental responsibilities of a host, and Airbnb’s lack of support made the situation even more disappointing. I would not recommend this property to anyone, nor do I feel confident in Airbnb’s ability to handle such situations effectively.
Stay without Water if you can

Staying on Airbnb place currently, went out from afternoon and back at 8pm, suddenly the place doesnt has any water access, I am staying at metro city fyi. The host tried to lie and blame at the Building Management at first, not admiting she forgot to pay the water bill, then I contacted Airbnb CS, after stressful talking and verification for 30mins with Airbnb CS at Apartment lobby, (because the signal at the unit is horrible) they tried to contact the host, and only will compensate me if no response from the host and i stay until the next day. How could I stay without water from 8pm until the next day???!!! I need to go down to use lobby toilet to do my things. Only after 2 hours, with me going down and up multiple times to lobby, to prove the host already paid the bill (she just paid the bill actually) then the water access is turned on again, and i took my bath at 10pm+. Be prepare of this kind of experience if you use Airbnb.
