The latest version is suffering from serious connectivity issues. If you minimise the app or multitask for a few minutes, the app resets the connection resulting in constant error messages such as “There was an error communicating with the server”, “Please wait while reconnecting” upon returning to the app. It’s very frustrating and wastes a lot of time. The connection timeout is simply too short.Edit: this issue seems to have been resolved in the subsequent update.

Please give me back my money. I have never written an app review before but the terrible interface and issue has driven me to this decision. Earlier, I decided to finally invest my stock for the first time, and then I downloaded IBKR because of the good review that I heard from ChatGPT, actually, and then I downloaded. The onboarding process was really quick. They approved on my background check. But then when I tried to invest, suddenly the app decided to crash out. It took me two weeks, and I hadn't been able to invest right now due to the time difference from the U.S., but moreover, due to the connectivity issue within the app itself. I have no connectivity issue. I can access other websites, other applications smoothly, but except for this IBKR app, I cannot invest because it keeps on telling me to log back in and everything, my account, when the countdown finishes, I still cannot access the app. Please give me back my money.

I have been using IBKR mobile for around 1 year now. Overall it’s a decent broker but it lacks many basic key features like push notification for stock price alert, overnight trading chart and all or none order attribute. For stock price alert on IBKR, you can only configure the price alert via email or SMS instead of getting push notification. In this modern day, no user will like to be flooded with email or SMS for every price alert and so push notifications is the way to go. Many other modern broker apps have this basic functionality! For overnight trading, even though IBKR supports the order execution, there is no chart data for it so it’s impossible to see the continuous price action, only can view the present bid ask spread. The toggle only allows the chart for outside RTH (pre market from 4 am to 9:30 am & after hours from 4 pm to 8 pm) but excludes overnight trading (from 8 pm to 4 am). Apps like Robinhood is able to show the chart for the full 24 hours (including overnight trading hours). For all or none (AON) order attribute, this option is available on Client Portal and TWS but missing on IBKR Mobile. Please implement these basic key features ASAP and I’ll be more than happy to update my review to 5 stars!

I've used IBKR for years. The core trading experience is solid, fees are competitive, and I have no plans to leave. That's why the rest of this is frustrating.The mobile app UX is still not where it should be. Many workflows (support, statements) push you into webviews. Fine in principle, and the login handoff now works, but the moment you switch apps to get additional information more often than not you have to start over. That's a basic flow that should just work.Support is the bigger problem. My last request was routed to an AI bot that didn't address what I asked, then the ticket was closed with a long, generic, clearly AI generated reply. I have no issues with using AI to assist with tasks but it needs to be done properly. I already had to pass the AI bot before being able to file the ticket. I don’t want to have to pass more AI levels to get my issue addressed properly.Three stars for a broker I'd otherwise rate higher. Fix the app basics and put a human back in the support loop.
