Best Product on My iPhone
Lisx8
I use Voice Dream everyday. It helps me to read articles, news’s, blogs, pdf documents according to the way I like - font, voice, speed, etc. Maybe a suggestion to have a bit more margin on the left, this will make it a bit easier when editing the text.
Awful voices
polbardt
The quality of the voices are so bad, compared to other TTS readers. The functionality as a document reader is fantastic, but the voices are awful, the quality comparable to iPhone’s inbuilt TTS. I don’t know why the quality of the voices are so bad. Every voice sounds really computerised. Natural Reader and Speechify have better voices, but the functions are a reader aren’t as good. Which is a bloody shame, I would plonk down money so fast for Voice Dream if it had a voice or two that are comparable. It would the perfect TTS app if its TTS function and quality wasn’t so subpar.
Best thing after ebooks

This is now my favourite and most-used app, especially while on public commute. Great for long articles and ebooks (ePub format only), this app lets you continue "reading" without having to keep your eyes on the iPhone all the time - which means you can check if the bus is arriving, navigate your way through crowds at the mrt station, window-shop all without having to stop "reading". Because of this, I have been able to complete a lot more reading in shorter amounts of time. The app has good quality voices which can be easily understood, and has features like reading-speed control, highlighting and bookmarking. Although rare, some words are mispronounced, but this is a minor problem as I'm able to understand most of the words. The interface is not perfect now, but it is perfectly straightforward and simple to use as it is. 4 stars for the app + 1 star for excellent support.
