I love how beautiful the colours, graphics and the interactive experience of the games. Tried a few other “traditional” brain training program and this app, is definitely fun enough to keep the kid interested and going to open the app and play everyday. The free version offers u 3 games a day, while the premium offers you 5 a day and of your choice. Unless you are super hardcore to achieve a certain level of achievement, the free version is sufficient to play everyday just for fun and “exercise” (not train) the brain.

I do a bit of a comparison review between ‘Peak’ and ‘Lumosity’; I have NO affiliation with ‘Peak’, I just played it very heavily.Re Lumosity, first and foremost, it’s really a pity that for the basic level of the game (ie basic stats, even), the premium (eg. paid) version is required! (‘Peak’ provides this for free, and its great to see insights about the progress!).Then, some of the games are very confusing; one does not know at which stage he/she is and if there is a next level or not. The only information provided is: your Top score! Not very insightful and boring to play after 2nd/3rd time. (‘Peak’ is very clear and provides stats on each game).In general, the brain games that Lumosity offers seem more interesting than the ‘Peak’ games and there seems more variety (in the basic version). But they also seem to become complicated at a very early stage, which might create a bit of boredom, sooner rather than later. It’s very tough to reach the next stage (but that’s maybe just me :).Having said that, it seems that some of the less interesting, not very insightful and better known brain games come up more often after installing the basic version of the game. This leads me to conclude that the people behind the app are more about the money (ie purchase of the app) rather than giving people a great basic app for free (at the basic level) to train their brain. And that’s a real pity and leads to my 3 star rating.
