Edit; they solved 1 & 2! Since this review Aamazing work props to the team. 1. Folders inside the main folder!! Actually such an important feature that I can’t even tell why it isn’t in the app yet 2. Being able to search up exact keywords even from handwritten text (this and the folder situation are the only things stopping me from permanently switching to this app tbh because even the most basic apps have the folders inside the main folders!)3. Shuffle feature where it opens a random note from the folder for us to read. It be amazing for refreshing memory (+haven’t seen anything like this in the market yet)

dont get me wrong, i love freenotes since its the only notetaking app i can comfortably use, this is just my feedback since its a relatively new platform:1. there is this issue where if i create a notebook with a format other than rule, after the few pages the default page becomes rule rather than the format i initially chose. for example, if i create a grid notebook, after about 5 pages of grid or so, the next pages will automatically become rule and i have to manually add grid pages. this bug is annoying when im taking fast notes in a fast paced lecture and i have to keep manually adding pages because it disrupts the format of my notes so far. so, my suggestion is for each specific notebook to have a ‘default page format’ option where each notebook can stick to one format 2. saw this in another review and agreed, it would be great to include a ‘scribble to erase’ function because it would make things so much faster so pls consider! :) 3. if there could be a landscape notebook option, that would be AMAZEBALLS. like it would save me because it would be way better visualisation for mind maps, diagrams, even flashcards like i think this would be an awesome feature thanks for reading have a nice day! developers please please consider looking into implementing these features, if it’s a technical issue i’d totally understand but i feel that at the very least please try to fix the problems in other waysssss
Better than Notability

Been looking for a Notability alternative for a while now, and this is the best note taking app I’ve used. Whether you’re a student, teacher, or just need to take some quick notes, this is the app for you. The free features make note taking a joy. Perfect for someone who doesn’t want to spend the extra money. Will put up with the ads as long as they don’t pop up as I am writing something. Small complaint of slow iCloud backups, as notes don’t fully sync across devices. But generally, the app developers did a great job!
Great app, but there are areas for improvement

I am extremely grateful to the creators of this app for giving me a free and easy-to-use, as well as streamlined experience. The backup allows me to easily access my stuff from any device, and the pens feature are also easy-to-use and convenient. However, first sights do matter. Honestly, the home page of the app should be made to look more modern, with rounded edges for documents and an ability to select a theme. The note interface should have the undo, redo, create page, audio etc that are already in the left of the toolbar to be moved to the right, with only the “back” button on the left. The eraser should be more convenient, and multi-purpose (Can erase everything).
