Although Apple announced compatible with all Apple silicon M Series chip but Ubisoft’s minimum requirement is M1 Max/M2 Pro with 16GB Ram. Not surprise but a disappointment for me as M2 user, it can’t even run smoothly and hang at selection, not sure is bug or just not compatible. Anyway, I have requested a refund, until I get a better Mac… As for now this is not “A Step Forward” or “Game Changing” as Apple claims. This actually worst that upgrading graphics card on PC.

As you noted from the Ubisoft system requirements FAQ, the minimum chip required is M1 Max/M2 Pro, or higher. Hi there, we're sorry to hear about the troubles you've encountered with the update for Assassin's Creed Shadows. To help fix this: Force quit out of other background programs when trying to run the game (to test out resource usage). Ensure your OS and game are fully updated and all content has finished installing. As a last resort, try reinstalling the game to ensure there aren't any corrupted or missing files from the original install. If the issue is persisting, run Apple Diagnostics. The instructions can be found on Apple's Support page under "Use Apple Diagnostics to Test Your Mac." Once you've done this, please reach out to Ubisoft Support on the official Ubisoft Support Discord server, mention your device specs, description of what's happening, the troubleshooting that you've completed, and submit your system files. Be prepared to submit your Diagnostics file once an agent helps you with your case (Web search: Discord Servers > Enter "Ubisoft" > Join first server on list). Thank you!
