Signal is a messaging app with privacy at its core. It is free and easy to use, with strong end-to-end encryption that keeps your communication completely private.
• Send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, GIFs, and files for free. Signal uses your phone’s data connection, so you avoid SMS and MMS fees.
• Call your friends with crystal-clear encrypted voice and video calls. Group calls supported for up to 50 people.
• Stay connected with group chats up to 1,000 people. Control who can post and manage group members with admin permission settings.
• Share image, text, and video Stories that disappear after 24 hours. Privacy settings keep you in charge of exactly who can see each Story.
• Signal is built for your privacy. We know nothing about you or who you’re talking to. Our open source Signal Protocol means that we can’t read your messages or listen to your calls. Neither can anyone else. No back doors, no data collection, no compromises.
• Signal is independent and not for profit; a different kind of tech from a different kind of organization. As a 501c3 nonprofit we are supported by your donations, not by advertisers or investors.

This app is great for secure messaging; I have absolutely no issues with it in that regard. However, it would be a bigger competitor to major apps like telegram and whatsapp if its UI responsiveness could be improved, and certain features such as replying to specific messages could be added (if this degrades the security of the app, I would prefer if it's not added). Thank you for providing a secure messaging platform!
Amazing app!!!

Signal is such a great app and it has so much more privacy. I am able to chat with other people better without any interruptions from other people. Some people might think that having less features is super bad but on Signal, the features are balanced and it does not have many ads. I would really recommend this app to others. Five star rating from me!!!
To the person that wrote WORST MESSENGING APP

That’s the problem with you - you don’t know the necessity of privacy this app brings. You expect it to be on par with WhatsApp and Telegram, apps that snoop on your privacy, but that’s where your lack of awareness comes in - this is an open source app without the backing of Silicon Valley and if you prefer a better app than this, albeit at the expense of your privacy being infringed, then just shut the hell up and sick your own thumb.
CANNOT FORWARD MULTIPLE MSGS
Danpicker
Love this app and would like WhatsApp to have a run for its money. However one critical feature not available. Users cannot forward multiple messages at one go to other users. I have to forward 1 message at a time. Extremely tedious and is a deal killer.Pity. I would have stayed solely on Signal and not rely on WhatsApp from time to time if Signal has this feature.
• We've introduced additional confirmations and educational messaging in the app to help protect Signal users from phishing and social engineering attacks. As a reminder, never reply to chats pretending to be Signal, and never send your verification code, PIN, or recovery key to anyone.
• Animated GIF searches are now much faster, but it's still up to you if you say what you mean or meme what you say.
