Just about perfect (for me)

I have been an Adobe Lightroom user for more than a decade so obviously have a level of comfort. But I have stuck with it because it simply works for me. The mobile app took a few iterations to flow as smoothly as the desktop but I love using it. Always room for improvement: memory use, syncing, finding file info could be better, Adobe’s subscription pricing makes me wince occasionally. But the Lightroom’s core role - software image organisation, editing and sharing - are very well done on mobile.
3.5 Stars. Please make it stop from auto-dimming.

I’ve been using Lightroom since 2009. In 2022 I discarded my iMac 27” 3TB and shifted to iPad Pro Gen 5. Spent 3K for a complete system, for an easier, lighter, portable work life. Because I want to shoot and move around instead of getting desk-bound all the time. I do serious heavy art photography which requires colour percision for documentation, archiving and sales. I do artwork-to-eye-to-screen lighting correction all the time. And there’s too much moments went LRmobile auto dimmed, and my traces and cues of colour and lighting concentration got disrupted. I couldn’t tell when it brightens up to normal. And I have to retune and recorrect it all over again. FRUSTRATING and INSANE. This is archival photography, not normal live scenes or subject photography. It took me 2.5 weeks to correct just 200 pieces as accurate as possible, doing over and over again for about 6 times. Yes, just because it AUTO DIMS. Looking at technology now, I could have spend ONLY 2K, enough for my requirement with a MacBook. I know there’s iPad or iPhone over heating issue etc. For goodness sake, PLEASE talk to Apple and work together on the software operating efficiency. This issue has been around for some 4-5 years. If I have to go back to MacBook or iMac, your Lightroom mobile is not very useful at all.

Lightroom is a great app but there is a serious problem with recent updates. When I open the app, all I can do is stare at the spinning small circle. The app wont just let me do anything. I dont know what the app is trying to do with the internet. It wont let me continue working with the files stored locally unless that stupid “loading from internet” job is finished. I really want the app to let me do my work with local files while it is syncing things with internet. If there is no internet connection, the loading will take forever and cant make any job done. When I log out of my account, the app deletes all my local files. When I log in back, I cant recover my files anymore. Everything is lost. Developers pls fix.
