Terrible Experience - Hidden Fees, Useless Support, and Scammy Referrals
Puzzled & frustrated
I strongly advise against using Coinbase. Their fees are exorbitant and often not clearly disclosed until after the transaction is completed. It feels intentionally misleading, especially for new users who might not realise how much they’re losing to the fees. Customer service is equally disappointing - Slow, unhelpful and often automated responses that go in circles without solving anything. If you ever run into an issue, good luck getting actual help. To top it off, their referral rewards are a total scam. I referred a friend under the exact terms they outlined, yet neither of us received the promised bonus. Support gave vague excuses and never resolved it. There are far better platforms out there that are more transparent and actually respect their users. Stay away from Coinbase.
Blindsided by sell limits

Update, changing it to 3 stars: I noticed that I have old limit orders that were not visible for a while, perhaps a bug. That said, the available funds section didn’t show a breakdown of where the funds were tied up at. Support was also clueless. Coinbase likes to they’re protecting users with sell limits but if they were serious, why don’t they force us to use stop-loss or stop limit orders? To make things worse, they go to great lengths to hide the daily trade limits, which also changes daily - even the support team can’t tell me where to see my trading limits. If you want to put such measures in place, at least be open about it.

I never really comment on app but I really can’t help commenting on the worst experience I had with this app 1 customer service keeps changing agent while talking to me, once I turned to other app the chat box will be closed and it needs to be reloaded again, I have to repeat my question again and again and their response is super slow, not to mention everyone will ask the same question again 2 registration is terrible because singpass verification on mobile app just doesn’t work 3 I used the wrong chain to transfer U to Coinbase account for which I read online that Coinbase can help to return to my previous platform however they just don’t bother to help, don’t risk putting your funds here
