Receiving only notification from a particular company

Hi JOD!

i wonder if i can switch on the notification from a particular company because i have been received a lot of notifications from multiple places where i’m not interested.

Would give a five ratings if you give me a “notification” button in JOD!

Look elsewhere

Beware of unethical hirers in this app, although JOD customer service is ok just helpless because they need these merchant’s patrons. Not a good experience with high-handed way of demeaning gig workers. Try at your own risk. Have encountered many of their so call customers poaching to switch over full time on the merchant payroll without JOD app. If the app cannot protect worker’s interests, I cannot be bothered to care if working directly with requesting hirers instead is ok a not. Cancellations last min by merchants such as Crystal Jade, Watami is common and you end up with no jobs last min after reserving your time to work. Note, we cannot cancel last min else we get penalised. In addition, Robertson House and GoGoX will makan your hours put in. In short, gig workers are vulnerable without much support from the intermediaries although the JOD customer service are polite in general. They will quote the merchant’s instructions. Workers here are the least important.

Inefficient merchants/companies

Cancelled my shift and did not inform me. Mind you, I applied for this shift more than a week before the working date. The job was already approved and i have acknowledged the job (email confirmation sent to me as well). Now the job is missing from my ‘approved jobs’ section . If u cancel my shift, at least give me a notification or inform me right? If we cancel our shifts on our part, we risk getting suspended. But employers cancel our shift without informing, nothing happens. There’s no mutual respect here. There are multiple people applying for the same job as well, there’s no criteria as to which person gets the job so i assume its fcfs? But seems like not the case. Applied and acknowledged a job 1 week prior but got cancelled without informing. Quite inefficient.
