Description

Parents Gateway is an initiative by MOE to enable parents with Singpass to interact with schools more conveniently on administrative matters. Parents will also be able to use this app to stay updated on school’s programme and activities.

The mobile app is currently only available for mainstream MOE Kindergartens, Primary schools, Secondary schools and Junior Colleges/Centralised Institute.

We appreciate if you can share with us your feedback to help MOE enhance and improve the experience, benefiting more parents in future.

- If you choose to log out of Parents Gateway, you will stop receiving notifications for new announcements and consent forms until your next log-in.

- The Parents Gateway app uses Singpass to identify parents of students in MOE schools. Singpass is only used to identify and authenticate the parent. The Singpass ID and the password will not be stored in the app. Upon successful authentication, the connection to Singpass will be terminated and the login will henceforth be managed by the Parents Gateway app. There is no risk of Singpass credentials being stolen if a user stays logged in.

Please consider changing the icon color to get a better contrast when badges appear.

Why assume we work only on phones?

I do not think it is reasonable to assume that notifications should only work on phones. There is no compatibility for desktop access. The approach is ‘just use your phone - end of discussion’. It’s IT tyranny based on someone’s arrogant assumptions about potential users at its worst.
There is no way to really work within this app - you can’t file, you can’t print messages. Users are treated like robotic programmes - you are expected to say yes or no to what’s pushed down to you and that’s the really the limits of the app functionality. Is this really the messaging you want to send regarding parent engagement and communications?

Cannot respond.

There is no option for “yes” or “no” or an option to “book” even though the letter was just posted/ it is still the booking period. A problem because we have to explain to the teacher for a hardcopy. Also tried to email the email address given but there was so many confusing questions. The app is updated to the latest version.
