Talk to your Mac from anywhere. Speak a command, hear the answer — hands-free, powered by Claude, over your own private network. ShellSpeak lets you control Claude Code on your own computer entirely by voice — hands-free and eyes-free. Speak a command, hear the response read back to you, and answer by voice. Built for accessibility-first developers and for any moment your hands or eyes are busy. HOW IT WORKS Run the free ShellSpeak gateway on your Mac or Linux computer, connect the app by scanning a QR code over your local Wi-Fi, then talk to your terminal. CONNECT FROM ANYWHERE (OPTIONAL) On the same Wi-Fi, ShellSpeak works out of the box. To reach your computer from any network, you can optionally add Tailscale — a free, separate app you install on your computer and your iPhone. Your phone then connects privately to your own machine, over the same certificate-pinned link, without exposing anything to the public internet. Tailscale is entirely optional; the local Wi-Fi connection works without it. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Speech is transcribed on your device. Commands go only to the gateway on your own computer over a certificate-pinned connection — never to us or any third party. No account, no tracking, no analytics.
