You can now add images to your scenes as billboards. These can either stay fixed in space or automatically face the user. STAGEit supports both standard images and transparent PNGs, making it easy to place distant 2D assets such as trees, scenery, or effects. This is ideal for creating rich environments with strong depth and parallax while keeping scenes lightweight.
Beta Support for Splats
You can now import and build scenes using splats. This opens up new possibilities for working with scanned environments and volumetric captures.
Please note: splat support is currently in Beta and does not yet include all standard STAGEit features.

Cameras and Cinema Mode (BETA) are here
You can now add cameras to your scene to preview different angles, similar to how a director of photography might block out shots. Set a camera to live mode, adjust the zoom, and place multiple viewpoints around your scene.
When you’re ready to review them, enter Cinema Mode - a virtual cinema space where you can switch between the cameras you’ve set up and see your scene from every angle.
This feature is in beta, so we’d love your feedback as we continue to improve it.
We’ve also fixed a bug where video materials and video players could interfere with one another. These now work seamlessly together.
2.0.5 08/04/2025
Introducing Fly Mode (BETA)! Navigating large-scale scenes just got easier.
- Fly Mode is now available in the Hand Menu, perfect for exploring big scenes or moving around when you’re in a small physical space and can’t walk through your scene naturally.
- By default, you can move in the X/Y plane (walking) or the Z plane (up/down) for smooth navigation.
- Want more freedom? Unlock Free Fly Mode in Global Settings to zoom around your scene in any direction—like Superman!
Try it out and let us know what you think!
2.0.4 22/03/2025
We have added the ability to enter values directly into the Object Details panel for precise scaling, positioning and rotation.
2.0.3 05/03/2025
What’s New in STAGEit
This update brings three powerful new features to enhance your scene-building experience!
- Export to USDZ – You can now export your STAGEit scenes as USDZ files, making it easier to share and integrate with other tools.
- STAGEit Viewer (iOS & iPad) – Want to share your scene with someone who doesn’t have an Apple Vision Pro? Now you can! Our new companion app for iPhone & iPad lets users explore STAGEit scenes remotely or in the same space as a Vision Pro user.
- Environments – A brand-new asset type! Choose from built-in environments, create your own, or import custom ones. An environment acts as a container for your scene, letting you build inside a structured space.
We can’t wait to see what you create with these new features!
2.0.2 26/02/2025
New Features:
The Sun has been added! Place it manually or set its position automatically based on your location, date, and time.
The Hand Menu now opens windows that you can place anywhere in your scene.
The Asset Details window now opens to your right, instead of being attached to an asset.
If a window is obscured, you can now use the “Arrange Windows” feature, which dims the scene and lets you reposition windows as needed.
A new “Preview Mode” lets you view your scene without selections or bounding boxes. This mode also hides the light object (but keeps lighting effects), perfect for demonstrations.
Objects can now be made transparent from the Materials tab in the Asset Details menu.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred on startup after a device reboot.
Various minor bugs and performance issues have been resolved.
2.0.1 23/11/2024
This version has updates to make the most of OS 2
We have added two types of light which can be added as an asset. There is a Point Light and a Spot Light, check out the settings area for each light to set the brightness, reach, colour, beam width and beam hardness (spotlights only) and shadows (spotlights only).
Interaction with animated models is now supported, add an animated model with a behaviour and trigger that behaviour via a pinch.
2.0.0 18/09/2024
This version fixes a bug where videos on primitive objects stops playing when the session is resumed.
1.0.21 11/09/2024
Minor bug fixes and improvements.
1.0.20 30/08/2024
Responding to a request from our users who wish to use STAGEit as part of their exhibits, we have added the ability to add images or videos as a Material to any primitive shape (including TEXT!).
Really useful if you want your scene to include extra large images, or use an image or video as a cyclorama background. Perhaps you have a TV in your scene and you want a film to show on it.
Note, Video does not currently support sound when added as a material.
1.0.19 27/08/2024
At your request we have added two new features, position scene using a physical STAGEit Marker and Viewer Mode to allow friends, family, clients and colleagues to enjoy the wonder of your scenes!
Viewer Mode is super simple to use;
- Step one, build your wonderful, immersive scene as you would normally
- Step two, disable, lock, hide objects as required
- Step three, put STAGEit into Viewer Mode from the settings in the hand menu
- Step four, hand your device over to the person you want to share with, if you don't want to you do not have to do the eye setup if they are only using STAGEit as we have designed it to be used without detailed eye and hand setup. Your guest user will get a simplified view of your scene. If you have left objects unlocked, they will be able to interact with them, if you have locked them, they can simply hide and show them by tapping on the simple Viewer Asset Panel.
- Use the STAGEit Marker to quickly place the scene!
Happy sharing!
1.0.17 23/08/2024
This update includes a really nice change to the way in which selected objects display their orientation. You can now easily see the XYZ orientation of an object. We have also colour coded the values in the Object Details panel to correspond to the orientation making it much easier to decide on which axis you want to make a change. Plus, in the object details panel you can now lock or unlock all axis for move, rotate and scale by tapping on the icon :).
In addition to this we have fixed a bug where measurements were not showing correct in the object details panel.
Is there no end to our efforts to keep making this app better? ;)
Happy scene building folks - reach out to us if you have any questions or comments!

We have also added some features to the Physics tab on Primitives and fixed a number of bugs and issues.
1.0.14 13/08/2024
We've added PHYSICS!
This is an awesome update which supports physics which is backed into your models or you can add physics to any shapes you add!
What does that mean? Well, you can build a marble run using spheres and shapes around your house, you can test how your models will be behave in the real world.
We also fixed a number of bugs too - but that's the boring stuff!
1.0.12 02/08/2024
Thanks for all the feedback!
The main feature in this version is it now allows you to set on which hand the menu displays, left or right. This can be found in the settings area inside the scene.
