ProPilot is a professional digital logbook designed for professional pilots, built by an active airlie pilot who flies MD-88s for USA Jet. The app assists the pilot making manual logbook entries and trip/flight tracking with an integrated system that handles flight logging, FAR compliance monitoring, and duty time tracking, all synced across iPhone and Apple Watch. At its core, the app focuses on flight logging with OUT/OFF/ON/IN time entry, including GPS-based auto-detection that can automatically log takeoff and landing times based on aircraft speed. It supports multi-leg trips with automatic leg advancement, calculates night hours using civil twilight algorithms, and syncs everything across devices through CloudKit. Real-time FAR 117/121 compliance monitoring provides visual warnings when pilots approach regulatory limits, with rolling 30-day flight time tracking and currency tracking for certificates and checkrides. Apple Watch integration allows pilots to view active trips and enter times directly from their wrist, start the duty timer without pulling out their phone, and maintain bidirectional sync with the iPhone app. The document management system lets pilots scan fuel receipts, logbook pages, and maintenance logs with auto-crop functionality and email integration, associating each document with the relevant trip for organized record-keeping. Schedule integration imports NOC roster data and displays it in a calendar view, with automatic trip generation from roster data and notifications when schedule revisions are detected. Additional tools include per diem tracking organized by trip, crew contact management with import capabilities, world clocks and flexible duty timers, GPS RAIM prediction for approach planning, FlightAware flight tracking integration, and an area guide for airport information. The app is built with SwiftUI and features a customizable tab interface on iPhone with sidebar navigation on iPad. It uses CloudKit for cross-device synchronization, background tasks for automatic roster updates, and Live Activities for displaying duty status in the Dynamic Island.
