In the distant future, humans have colonised the habitable planet of Aida, mining the cosmic energy source called Omnium to bring their new home to dizzying heights of development. At the centre of their civilisation is the Tower of Fantasy.
But Aida’s golden age did not last. An Omnium catastrophe turned the planet into a desolate wasteland. Now, hundreds of years later, different forces scrabble over its precious few resources, with humans fighting one another, and bandit gangs and mutant creatures roaming the wilderness. That’s when you, a fearless pioneer, set foot on this land in search of adventure.
Tower of Fantasy combines outstanding cartoon rendering techniques with high-precision modelling to create the setting of a futuristic wasteland. Glide over the ruins of an island resort, creep through a crumbling city or rush towards a shipwreck in the icy seas.
As you explore, you’ll find that every location has its own unique environment, features and enemies. Treasures and puzzles are hidden in unexpected corners, so make good use of your jetpack and skateboard to discover every part of this world.
The game features many types of weapons, including the bow, lance, dual swords, magic wand and more. You can carry three into battle and use them interchangeably. For example, swing an electric hammer to paralyse your enemies, then leap up to deliver a heated blow with a flaming scythe and watch the fire and electricity react to each other.
You can play solo, or team up with friends to take on wild bosses, dungeon side-quests and more challenges together. The game also features a mimicry system. As you wield a weapon, mimic famous heroes of the past and show off some legendary combat moves.
Each of the forces vying for power on Aida has their own goals. Some aim to harness Omnium and guide human evolution through science, while others seek revenge against those who trusted in Omnium’s power. And then there are the plundering bandits and the greedy merchants who work only for their own gain.
