FeedMixer is meant for farmers intending to self-mix their own chicken and poultry feed with locally available ingredients including ingredient cost. While the FeedMixer app is intended to provide guidance across a range of breeds and bird ages, further tailoring of any feed mix should be considered based on the local environment where a farmer is rearing their flock.
Additional guidance outside the app can be sought by contacting local veterinarians or other poultry experts.
The FeedMixer App has been developed by the World Poultry Foundation (WPF) in partnership with the University of Georgia (UGA) Poultry Science Department.
