Midiboard is free again. Pad grids, keyboards, faders and labels are free for good, along with the editor, pages and layouts. Chords, sequencers, buttons, footswitches, wheels, arcs, rotaries, XY pads and transpose are Pro: try them free for 7 days, then monthly or buy once. Widgets you already placed before this update keep working.

Midiboard now starts with a 7-day free trial, then a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase. Nothing changes for anyone who already bought the editor. On iPad the grid scales to the screen. The editor draws the page at its played size; two fingers pan it and a pinch shows the whole page. A second finger on the same control no longer leaves a note stuck. Over Bluetooth your computer now sees only the phone's own name, which was the cause of drops while connecting. Help texts are in Turkish.

This release adds Wi-Fi, gives the app Turkish, and makes sequencers line up with each other. MIDI over Wi-Fi. A second route beside Bluetooth: an RTP-MIDI session, built into macOS and available on Windows through rtpMIDI. It is the one to reach for when Bluetooth is crowded, or when the computer has none. The connection screen now offers all three routes — Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the port on this device — and the badge on the playing screen says which one is live. On Windows, rtpMIDI needs Bonjour for discovery; allow both through the firewall or the directory just stays empty. The app speaks Turkish. Settings, Appearance, Language. Menus, cards, and the explanation behind every question mark. It is independent of the phone: you can read the app in Turkish on an English phone, or the other way round. Controls follow the computer. A fader mapped to a track's volume moves when you move it in the software, instead of showing where your finger last left it and jumping the moment you touch it. A footswitch bank follows the preset. Nothing is ever sent back. Sequencers begin at their own beginning. Switch one on mid-song and it starts from its own first step rather than landing in the middle of the phrase, and one waiting to start blinks. When it comes in is set by Settings, Clock, Launch quantise — the default waits one whole turn of the pattern, so two patterns of the same length always come in together. Pad banks walk the key. With In key set, a bank now holds the key's notes side by side — A minor gives A B C D E F G A — with none repeated and none missing. The page lock now freezes sequencer patterns too. A palm landing on a row while you play a chord no longer rewrites the melody, and the run buttons keep working, so patterns still come in and out. Also: every alert used to rotate the screen even with the app locked to landscape, and no longer does. Number keypads have a Done key. And a chord no longer cuts one of its own notes short.

This release makes the sequencer readable, rebuilds the editor around one layout, and lets every control say what it is. Sequencer steps now show the note they play. They used to show a scale degree, and a step that left the key was numbered by a different system — in C minor both Ab and A read "6". Each step now carries its note, spelled by the key: C minor reads Eb Ab Bb rather than D# G# A#. The mark after the name is the octave — an apostrophe for one above, a comma for one below. Note names follow the key everywhere now. A scale uses each letter once, so the third degree of C minor is a kind of E and cannot be a kind of D. The sequencer's Octave setting is gone, replaced by Starts on, which shows the note it plays — and a pattern now always starts on its own key. Every widget uses the same editor: Widget, the widget's own section, Scale, Transpose, Behaviour, Timing, MIDI, Haptics. The same setting is in the same place whatever you have selected. A chord's root sits directly above the template that builds a chord from it, and a pad grid's lowest note sits with its rows and columns. Rings and faders can be Centred: the middle of the range becomes zero, the fill grows out of the middle, and the reading is signed from −100 to +100. For a pan, a balance, a detune, or a filter that cuts both ways. Choosing Arc turns it on. The rotary starts and ends at the bottom, so the seam where the value wraps is under the knob rather than where you are looking. Each axis of an XY pad can be CC or pitch bend on its own, with its own spring back — and the panel now says which axis is which. Connection: the transmit queue no longer grows, and the app no longer drops a link the computer still has. Settings → Connection keeps a record of what happened — how long the link was up, how many messages went through it, and what the disconnect looked like.

Timing, mostly. If you sync anything to Midiboard's clock, this is the update to take. MIDI clock now goes out tick by tick. It used to be sent in bursts of twenty-four, which anything measuring tempo from what arrives reads as a tempo that lurches — so a sequencer or a delay locked to Midiboard drifted, sped up and slowed down. It stays locked now. The clock also runs on its own thread, so nothing you touch on screen can push it late. The keyboard draws a real piano at any starting note. Set the lowest note to F and F sits to the left of the group of three black keys, where it belongs. The pattern used to be fixed to C, so the keys stopped matching their own names as soon as you moved the range. Sequencer steps can be longer than one step. Drag a step sideways and it covers the ones beside it — sixteenths become eighths and quarters, so a line no longer has to be all one length. The covered steps keep what you wrote and come back the moment you shorten the note. Sequencer steps also read properly now. The degree is counted from the key you actually set rather than from where the widget starts, the real note name and octave are written underneath, and dragging a step up or down walks the scale instead of counting semitones — so a line you write in a key stays in it. A swipe up from the bottom edge no longer leaves the app on the first try. Brushing the edge in the middle of a song shows the home bar and nothing else.
