Worked well in Japan

I used this for my Japan trip. Everything worked flawlessly from ordering, activation, and also very fast top-up after I used all my initial data. Just one thing - my 4G signal dropped at least 20 times a day while in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka.. maybe thats normal thing for such dense cities, but it was not 100% comfortable

I have been using Airalo for some time in several countries / continents and it is a fantastic app saving the time, money and energy of travellers. BUT. When issues occur (and there are issues from time to time), then the Customer Support is an absolute disaster. As a result I already ended up several times offline for the whole stay abroad with no solution provided by CS. And my refund request for esim that did not work at all although properly installed is treated with silence. So the Customer Support is definitely a space for improvement. Would I use the app again? Yes of course I would. All apps have their glitches from time to time, Airalo not being an exception. The added value of the app is still great and so is the idea behind the app.

Gave this app a first try and I would never do the same mistake again. I am being stuck at north Cyprus with esim that provides no internet. Customer support passing me around like hot potato with no help. Sent loads of screenshots of my set up and settings, they say everything is set up as it should be. Esim was working first 5 minutes after installation and it never did since that time again. I managed to use exactly 110Mb, but thats it. Now they closed our conversation and passed me to developer team, from which I havent got an update for 2 days. This was the biggest mistake. Should have go and buy real sim card instead, never doing it again and I dont recommend you do the same mistake.

My e-sim did not start working until half into my trip in Japan. It was really random because I had followed the instructions to a tee. When we landed in our destination, other of my companions e-sims from Airalo began working on touchdown. I could bot get any service until around day 11 (when i randomly got data) of our almost month long trip. I contacted the info center and the AI only advised me to restart my phone which did bot work. In short it works well once it actually works. I dont know why my just decided to work at a random point in time.
