Erev: Shabbat Times & Kosher

Jewish calendar, zmanim, scan

Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

What time does Shabbat start? Open Erev: Shabbat, holiday and fast times, accurate to the minute, even offline. And the kosher scanner decides for you. Friday. You just want to know: what time does Shabbat start? Erev answers before you even open the app: the countdown lives on your lock screen, updates in real time and clears itself after havdalah. That is the whole idea: a Jewish app that shows up at the right moment, beautiful and precise, and leaves you alone the rest of the time. SHABBAT ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN Start, end, weekly parasha, as a Live Activity and on the Dynamic Island, without even unlocking your phone. KOSHER? SCAN IT. Point at the barcode: a verdict in one second, based only on recognized official lists, sources always shown. "Not listed" never means "not kosher": Erev does not guess, it shows you the ingredients and lets you judge. Fresh fish with no barcode? The list of kosher species (fins and scales) is built in. JEWISH TIME, TO THE MINUTE Every time is computed on your device: precise zmanim for your location, Shabbat start and end, holidays and fasts, city by city across the world, Jerusalem conventions included. Change city, change date: it is instant, even with no signal, on a plane, deep inside a store. Notifications keep up, fast reminders included. A LIVING LIBRARY The essential prayers, the right bracha for every food, the 613 mitzvot explained simply, a clear guide for every holiday. FOUR LIGHTS, ONE SOUL The app follows the light of the day, from dawn to night, and speaks four languages: français, English, Español, עברית. THE ESSENTIALS ARE FREE, FOREVER Times, calendar, scanner, prayers: free, with no ads, no account, no profiling. Everything works offline. Found a mistake? Report it from the app: it gets fixed fast, and the whole community benefits. Erev is made with love, for all Jews, of all communities. Write to us: erev.app@gmail.com

Erev now thinks ahead for you, at the right moment. On the home screen, a discreet reminder appears when it matters: the day before a fast with its times, before Rosh Hashana, on the night of Kol Nidrei, even the week when custom sets meat aside before Tisha B'Av. One line a day at most, never more. When holidays cluster, like in Tishrei, a small timeline shows the period at a glance: Rosh Hashana, the Fast of Gedaliah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, with their start and end times. Tap "Next holiday": the card unfolds with all the details, and a button shares the times with your family on WhatsApp. Fast end times in France now follow the French calendars' stringency, Yom Kippur included. And the prayers now match your rite: Sephardi or Ashkenazi, every text faithfully follows your community's tradition, with a simple setting. Tishrei is coming: Erev is ready.
