The biggest update since launch: a timeline, editing in Arrange, toolbars you can change, loudness metering and FX on items. Install the new REAPER extension (v0.1.19 or later) from mixsurface.app/setup and restart REAPER. This version needs it. ARRANGE VIEW (unlock) • A new tab shows your tracks on the timeline: items, waveforms, fades and colours as REAPER draws them. Pinch to zoom, drag to move through the song. • An edit bar with Marquee, Move, Split, Delete, Mute, Ripple, Snap and Lock. Trim edges, drag fades and item gain. Each edit is one undo step in REAPER. • Drag the loop range on the ruler. Double-tap under the tracks to add a track. • Every item has an FX badge. Take FX work with the same templates, EQ and learn mode as track FX. TIMELINE AND MARKERS • A ruler on every tab shows regions, markers and the playhead. Tap to jump. • A region drawer built for live sets: tap to jump, long-press to queue the next region. On iPad you can pin it open. • Long-press Record to pick REAPER's record mode. TOOLBARS • Reorder, hide and add items on every bar. Add any REAPER action by running it in REAPER while the editor listens. METERING (unlock) • New Control View templates: a mastering super meter (LUFS, true peak, PSR, PLR), plus loudness history, spectrum, spectrogram, stereo cloud, phase scope and VU meters. MIXER • Pin tracks, master included, so they stay in view while the rest scroll. • Folder tracks fold in the mixer and stay in sync with REAPER. • Pick the automation mode from a menu. ALSO • Settings are grouped by category. • Mode tabs are now Mixer, Arrange, Channel, Control. • Fixes for blank waveforms on first open, meters freezing after a loop and the global Auto button disappearing.
