THE WINTER UPDATE Monk Mode is now the Winter Arc. Pick 30 days, 60, or everything left until New Year's Eve, and watch the whole app count toward it: a dashboard with your hold rate, perfect days, focus banked and the days left.

A new beginning, and a new front door. • A rebuilt onboarding that asks less and understands more, with a plan built from your answers • A new paywall and a clearer free trial: three days, nothing charged until day three, cancel anytime • A daily welcome on Home, once a day, with your day count and a line worth reading • Weekly recap, redrawn, with the days you showed up and the hours you put in • Settings, sorted into folders: your plan, notifications, preferences, account • Notifications now appear while the app is open, and "Not now" means not now • The alarm's phone lockdown is now opt-in per alarm and releases itself when the window ends • Delete account now erases everything, including your goal and Monk Mode • Dozens of fixes across streaks, focus credits, the library, tasks and the routine

Improvements and bug fixes

Stoic is back, and this is our biggest update yet. NEW: Monk Mode. Commit to a 90-day protocol of non-negotiable habits and make a promise to your future self. NEW: Hardcore Mode. Put real money on your morning alarm. Wake up and it's yours. Sleep in and you forfeit. NEW: Alarm challenges. Silence the alarm only by doing camera-verified push-ups or squats, solving a problem, hitting your steps, or saying your phrase. NEW: The Focus Economy. Earn your screen time by doing real work. Focus sessions bank credits that buy back minutes on the apps that distract you. NEW: Local weather on your morning screen. NEW: 24-hour or AM/PM time, your choice. Plus a fresh look, a faster launch, and dozens of fixes and refinements throughout. Thanks for using Stoic. Now go beat the algorithm.

Monk Mode is here. Sign a 30, 60, or 90 day contract: three daily non-negotiables plus up to three of your own. Make the promise to someone you won't let down. The app holds you to it. Every day lands on the grid, perfect or not. Tap any day to see what happened. A Home Screen widget keeps the contract in your face: day count, today's list, your week. Credits got scarce: 10 minutes of focus earn 1 credit, 1 credit buys 3 minutes of your apps. Earning your screen time means something now. Reliability fixes throughout.

Become the person you said you'd be. Onboarding now asks who you are becoming and who you refuse to become. Stoik repeats your own words back at the exact moment you try to quit. The impulse gap: a 10 second pause before you can spend credits on your apps. Notice the pull. Choose on purpose. Daily interrupt questions that snap you off autopilot. North is now your game board: daily quests, the mission, the path. Fixed the trial reminder not showing on first launch, smarter notification scheduling, and reliability fixes throughout.

The alarm that won't let you off easy. Wake-up alarms you can only silence by doing the work: push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, sit-ups (counted live by your camera), steps, math or typing Hit snooze? It comes back. The only way out is through the reps. Focus Shield: your distracting apps lock while a focus timer runs and release when it ends Stake focus credits on tomorrow's alarm. Win them back bigger, or lose them. A completely redesigned experience: new look, new type, new paywall, faster onboarding Dozens of fixes and polish everywhere
