Minit
Adventure 60-Seconds at a Time
You can do a lot in Minit: collect powerful items, sail across the ocean, even fight an evil monster made of swords.
The catch? You only have one minute to get it all done.
In this inventive retro adventure, the action resets every 60 seconds. No matter where you are, no matter what you’re doing, you’re warped back to your home base to start over once a minute expires.
How can you get anything done? Fortunately, notable events—unlocking a door or acquiring an item—carry over after these resets. So if you find a cool sword, you get to keep it. Phew!
Minit is a constant dash to complete bite-size quests before time runs out. Though the pressure can be intense, the inevitable resets give you the freedom to take foolish risks. Who cares if walking in front of a stampeding bull kills you when you’re going to start over in a few seconds anyway?
Finding new items lets you travel deeper into the game’s world. The flashlight, for example, allows you to explore dark, forbidding dungeons. Coupled with gardening gloves, the sword lets you chop down trees and discover hidden paths. Shoes make you run faster, which obviously comes in handy considering the urgency. Minit’s world is a giant, interlocking puzzle; it’s a joy uncovering one small piece at a time.
Minit also has a great sense of humor. An old man tries to tell you about buried treasure but talks incredibly slowly, burning through precious seconds before revealing the final clue. Just don’t waste too much time laughing—the clock is ticking.
