Finding great art is a cinch with gowithYamo: The Art Guide. Wherever you are based, when you first open the app you’re presented with a list of exhibitions and artists’ works in galleries near you.

On the home tab, you’ll see an image from each exhibition with the name, running dates, gallery name and its distance from you.

Tapping through will show you more detail: a summary of the exhibition, price for entry and how to get there.

The app has its own currency, called Yamos, which you earn by tapping the collect button on an exhibition, when you are at the relevant gallery. 

Yamos can then be redeemed in the app’s store for free tickets, prints or discounts on workshops or gallery tours. So the more art you see, the more art you can unlock. 

Possibly the best part of gowithYamo is the Explore feature, which shows you a collage of different works of art, without any names. The app encourages you to tap on what you’re drawn to (minus any preconceptions), then discover what it is, who created it and where you can see it.
