iReadr is a modern speed reading application designed for the Apple ecosystem. By displaying words sequentially at a fixed focal point, iReadr trains your brain to process text faster while maintaining comprehension.
How It Works:
Traditional reading requires your eyes to move across lines of text, jump between lines, and backtrack when you lose your place. This physical movement limits reading speed to around 200-250 words per minute for most people.
Readr eliminates these limitations by:
1. Displaying one word at a time in a fixed position on screen
2. Highlighting the Optimal Recognition Point (ORP) - the natural fixation point in each word where your eye focuses
3. Using adaptive timing that gives longer words and punctuation extra display time for natural pacing
4. Removing the need for eye movement so your brain can focus purely on comprehension
With practice, readers can comfortably reach speeds of 400-600+ WPM while maintaining comprehension.
