After the release, we got users reporting high CPU usage. Not cool, so we’re taking care of that with this hotfix.

We’ve added statistics to the menu bar popup and Safari toolbar menu — now you can see exactly how many ads and trackers AdGuard Mini has blocked for you. We’ve also fixed a few minor bugs reported by users.

This patch improves the app’s visuals: formatting in the Updates section is now more consistent, and scrollbars in the Rules editor remain visible.

Another quick update focused on polishing UI for better user experience. Some of the fixes are as follows: AdGuard Mini’s main window now opens in the current active Space, the menu bar screen keeps the dark theme after updating (if the system theme is dark), and the User rules screen doesn’t scroll to the top after the changes are saved. Let us know if you encounter any similar problems — we will fix them on the fly.

In this release, we refined the UI based on your feedback. In particular, we reduced the frequency of the “Something not working right? Let us know” tooltip — it now appears only once after the app is launched and the Safari Protection screen is opened.

In AdGuard Mini v2.1.1, we improved UI behavior in the Rule editor and fixed crashes along the way.

Not long after AdGuard Mini’s debut, here comes its first improvement. Now, you can manually set the app’s theme to light, dark, or system. We also added a dark version of the app icon — the one that you can see in the Dock.

You can add and manage your own filters, which gives you more control over how AdGuard Mini blocks ads and trackers. Originally, custom filters were planned as a paid feature. But since this functionality was available to all users in the previous extension, we took a closer look at the feedback and decided to restore full access for everyone. Now AdGuard Mini keeps the familiar functionality with improved performance. We’re currently working on a new advanced feature that will offer even more value to subscribers. AdGuard Mini — formerly AdGuard for Safari, is now released. The core ad-blocking function of the app remains the same, but we restyled it, added in-app support section, improved usability and Safari toolbar item (quick reminder: it lets you block ads manually right in the browser). We also added Pro features as an optional in-app purchase. Now real-time updates, custom filters, and AdGuard Extra are available, if you wish to boost your ad-blocking capabilities.

AdGuard for Safari v1.11.24 will be the last to support macOS 11 and older versions. We are currently preparing a significantly reworked app for newer operating systems, so stay tuned for more news!

As Sigmund Freud used to say: “Sometimes a new version is just a new version”. This time, we've gone with the standard set of changes: updated scriptlets, translations, and filters — without pomp and fanfare, but with a great sense of responsibility.

Important changes: our updated Scriptlets and improved application of advanced rules result in more effective ad blocking.

Our main goal for this release is to ensure the seamless operation of the app on the new macOS Sonoma. We’ve made a few visual improvements and fixed some pesky bugs.

We continue to improve AdGuard for Safari. This version fixes several converter performance issues and brings updates to Scriptlets, SafariConverterLib, and AdGuard Assistant.

Good news: now the :has() pseudo-class can be applied by Safari’s content blockers. In short, this means that rules with this pseudo-class will be applied faster. This will speed up filtering! In this patch, we’ve also fixed problems with the rule converter and updated ExtendedCss and Scriptlets.

AdGuard v1.11.12 for Safari offers a small, but important update for the extension’s better functioning and a better user experience. We’ve fixed a bug that’s been pestering us for some time: the extension’s settings window launched in full screen after OS startup. Plus, we have also updated Scriptlets and ExtendedCss.

AdGuard v1.11.11 for Safari can not only boast a nice version number but also a bunch of useful updates. We've added the translations of filter categories into several languages and an option to subscribe to custom filters by clicking a button – without manually adding a link. Besides, the option *Launch AdGuard for Safari at Login* is again disabled by default and ExtendedCss and scriptlets are updated.

In this hotfix we recovered Chinese localization that was missing in the previous version.
