What's New V 1.4.8 Six ways to watch The Now Playing visualiser now offers Bars, Ticks, Line, Area, Mirror and a true Oscilloscope that draws the waveform itself. Each source remembers its own choice, and the whole thing switches off the moment you leave the screen. Shuffle that sounds shuffled No Repeat Artist and No Repeat Album now keep three to five songs between repeats instead of only avoiding back-to-back ones, so a shuffle no longer ping-pongs between two artists. They also work with DJ Flow and on music that has not been analysed yet. Browse by feel New BPM and Mood sections find music by tempo and character instead of by name. Analyse a folder and watch its progress right on the folder row. Know what you're hearing Apple Music now shows the quality actually arriving on your device alongside what the catalogue offers — they are not always the same. A green check appears when the two match, and when local playback is bit-perfect. Apple Music keeps up Skipping to the next song — or just letting one end — now updates everything: the cover, the track details, the quality readout, and your play count. One clock, everywhere Elapsed and total time now appear in the mini player, for Apple Music as well as your own library, and every screen shows the time the same way. Resume remembers A folder now remembers the track you actually reached, including songs that played gaplessly one after another. Play counts for those songs are counted too. Servers that find their way back When your router hands a server a new address, playback re-finds it by itself. A scan that comes back empty can no longer clear a server's tracks, and songs kept in playlists survive a rescan that merges duplicate files. Sleep timer, one place The sleep timer now lives in the Library sidebar, and setting one keeps the countdown on screen instead of closing on you. Clearer controls Play, Shuffle and AirPlay sit on iOS 26's Liquid Glass, untinted so they read as glass rather than as coloured discs. AirPlay follows your theme colour instead of always turning blue. Themes that stay put Now Playing keeps the colours of the source you are listening to, not the one you happen to be browsing. Each source can also pick its own visualiser style. Album screens take their colour from the cover on every source. Roomier lists, calmer covers Track lists run edge to edge instead of sitting on inset cards, section headings scroll away with the content, and artwork crossfades between tracks with no dark dip in the middle. More control Show or hide any track badge. Tap the time bar to switch between elapsed and remaining. Playlists accept the same track more than once, and every library section has sort options. More of the app speaks your language The Appearance and Background pickers, the visualiser settings and several server screens were still showing English in every language. They are translated now, in all nine. Faster, lighter Format, Album and Artist screens open faster and sit still when you do. Manual track changes are up to 2.5x quicker, large playlists open instantly, and opening a very large album no longer stalls.
