When the application was developed in 2008 there was no wireless internet coverage at the Oldfarm site and trails. Oldfarm version 1 had all of the video files wrapped into the application making it a large download from the App Store. Now there is very good coverage at Oldfarm offered by several carriers and so this version downloads video assets as needed.
