Most eye medicines prescribed by your doctor last only 30 days after opening. Any remaining solution in the bottle after this period needs to be discarded, after which a fresh bottle needs to be opened if treatment is intended to be continued by the doctor. Many patients who have been prescribed eye medicines tend to forget the date of opening/closing and therefore fail to discard the eye drop bottle on time. This potentially puts their eyes at risk and can lead to further problems. To make things easier we have developed the OpenRx Timer app which is a simple yet smart reminder mobile application to help patients know exactly when to discard their opened eye medicines. This innovative app can record the opening date of the eye medicine and remind patients when to discard them. Downloading the OpenRx Timer app on your smartphone would give the following benefits: - No need to remember the date of opening of your prescribed eye medicines. - Timely notifications of when to discard any opened eye medicines. - User-friendly app that can set reminders easily in a matter of seconds and with just a few clicks.
