Delve into dream worlds to face your past Visions from lingering nightmares stuck to the back of your brain. Collect over 350 Visions and possess them as your own friends to help you become more powerful as you jump from the Lucid World to the Dream World.
Earn experience, loot, materials, and other unlocks that will stay with you permanently in the Lucid World. In your Dreams, gain new and powerful boons to temporarily help you erase any Visions in your way.
In the Lucid World, craft new items and materials for use in your Dreams, or trade them with other players worldwide in the Bazaar. Create custom loadouts to tackle the variety of challenges that can be encountered in three activity modes with a range of difficulties.
In Horde Runs, survive waves of Visions as they close in on your position. In Extraction Lairs, you will explore randomly generated dungeons filled with a healthy amount of plunder. To escape with all you've collected, you will need to find the exit and defeat the Final Vision. In Invasion Zones, a never-ending supply of Visions will rain down upon you relentlessly as you try to catch falling loot and duck danger.
The Visions you encounter can be turned into your own personal pets called Casters, fighting besides you with their own stats, perks, and utility. If you cannot get the perfect god roll, craft your own with materials or browse the Bazaar for other players' listings.
hellamental is free-to-play, has no ads, no Wi-Fi required, and no restrictions on the the amount of time you can play.

USER FEEDBACK VERSION
Thank you for all of the feedback over the past months. I have been working on suggestions and bug fixes that were brought up in the past few weeks. This update fixes most of the issues you may have experienced, and has incorporated most of the gameplay feedback to bring more FUN.
-Extraction Mode map creation logic much more robust and random now, and fixed issue where Boss room may not be accessible
-When clearing an Extraction room, all loot will travel to the player position. If it cannot be picked up at that time, it can be picked up if the player traverses back (i.e. Energy drops when at max, or Chests without a Transient Key)
-Accepted Duties can now be abandoned by swiping them left from the Duties screen
-Casters with Closest Target priority will now always look for closer Visions instead of getting tunnel vision
hellamental has a ton of Casters and random abilities, so it’s important to put those in your hands. The following changes should result in more Casters and being able to craft your own Casters, FX Imprints, and Implants at a far higher rate.
-Reduced crafting costs across the board
-Doubled the rate of Transient Key and Chest drops
-Non-gem crafting materials drop 2x as much
-Mementos (for crafting Casters) drop 5x as much
UI
-The Implant Install screen is bigger now
FIXES
-Fixed issue where Bosses and Miniboss loot drop magnetism would send loot that couldn’t be picked up by the player to Timbuktu
-Fixed issue where installing an Implant on a Caster with an existing Implant could result in loss of both Implants
-Fixed issue where Implant Slot #2 was not available for Casters with Lv. 20 Proficiency
-Adjusted Resurrection timing to resolve an issue where the player would not be in the state of resurrection and take damage within a single frame, causing hard lock or instant death.
-Duties for surviving X amount of minutes are now limited to Horde Mode
-Fixed issue where listers would be overcharged for listing Implants and FX Imprints on the Bazaar
-Fixed issue where the first tap of a Caster in the Inventory screen would pull up the first Caster in Inventory instead. No, you were not going crazy.

This update addresses an issue where users without iCloud enabled or a full iCloud could not play. When iCloud is non-operational, a local save will be created. Players without iCloud cannot participate with trade with other players.
If, in the future, a player enables iCloud, or creates free space in iCloud, the game will use iCloud and the local save will be isolated. Local save data cannot be transferred to a cloud save, and vice versa.
Casters, Memories, Materials, Implants, and FX Imprints are isolated between save types. All other progress is persisted between local and cloud saves.
In the event of a local save and cloud save, users will need to disable or enable iCloud depending on which save they’d like to use. This will be made more accessible in a future update. I strongly discourage toggling iCloud on and off unless absolutely necessary due to potential for incomplete syncs, which could result in data loss!
BALANCE
-Resurrecting now knocks Visions back very far
-When Big and Specialized Casters are unequipped, they will begin a slowed recharge process similar to Basic Casters when they expended shots. An equitable portion of energy will be used depending on how much the Caster needed to be recharged to full.
FIXES
-Players can resurrect in Horde Mode after defeating the Final Vision and dying
-Fixed several memory leaks
-Optimized some math
-Scroll performance on Level Information screens improved
-When crafting a material, upon completion the listing of materials is immediately updated with new counts

BALANCE
In the early game, specifically the time after reaching higher difficulty levels and still finding or crafting more powerful Casters & build crafting, Visions had too much HP. The problem would be exacerbated by level modifiers that could occur in some levels such as doubling Vision HP on top of that.
Elite Visions, Miniboss Visions, and Final Boss Visions had HP multipliers that would stack to create too much of a wall for progressing players. In harder levels with more abundant Elite Visions, this was a problem.
The following adjustments have been made:
-Reduced Elite Vision HP by over 50% depending on game mode
-Reduced Miniboss Vision HP by over 30% depending on game mode
-Reduced Final Boss HP by over 25% depending on game mode

-Increased Bomb XP gains by 100%
FIXES
-Fixed issue where Main Menu item numbers would not reflect updated values

1.14 02/03/2025
-Fixed issue where ineligible Casters may have been available to list in the Bazaar. Listing such Casters may have invoked a rupture of space and time under certain circumstances
-Casters purchased from the Bazaar and Casters renamed to “” will now have their default name displayed and not their internal identifier
1.13 25/02/2025
FEATURES
-All Player Data is now synced via iCloud. The current sync status of iCloud is displayed at the top right of the Start Screen.
-Mementos will now be sorted by amount in the Inventory Screen. These were previously sorted by an internal identifier of the Vision/Caster which would make the sorting appear random
BALANCE
-Agile Casters are intended to be close ranged and “in the mix”, rewarding players who are not scared to go into swarms of Visions blasting. In a first pass attempt to make them more effective, the minimum Recharge (Reload) stat on all Agile Casters has been increased to 60. Their effectiveness will continue to be monitored.
FIXES
-Fixed issue where duplicate default Casters may be created and causing Welcome Screen to infinitely appear
-Fixed issue where Upgrades in the Upgrades Screen may not update to reflect proper values and state. All Upgrades and spendable Lucid Experience Points have been reset for free to be redistributed at your discretion
