Animals empowered by the opening of a dimensional rift undergo a rapid evolution in intelligence and spark conflicts across the land.
This is the Cat-Dog War.
Along with this power, the dimensional rift brings “Gears”—over-technology in the form of mechanical weapons from another world—to Earth.
One week later, the Dog faction relocates its living sphere to space, and the striped titmouse, roasted by the Shimaenaga Dango, also ventures into space.
One day after the Cat-Dog Peace Accords were signed, a faction of the Dog faction—dissatisfied with the order of the Cat and Dog names—attacked the Cat faction’s base on Earth, resulting in the loss of 30% of the human population.
The Long-tailed Tits also dropped a massive meteorite onto the Earth to take revenge on the Long-tailed Tits living in the Earth’s atmosphere. As a result, the human population plummeted to 30% of its pre-war level.
This marks the beginning of the Cat-Dog Space War.
