What's New in Version 1.3.2 Stop a drone from anywhere • While DroneSynth plays, it now appears on the lock screen and in Control Centre, like music does. Tap Stop to silence it without unlocking your phone. • The DroneSynth plugin has its own STOP button, for a drone left sounding when your iPhone or iPad controlling it loses its connection. Steadier LFOs • Sine, Triangle and Square LFOs now run perfectly steady. The gentle drift is kept for the Random shape, which is the only one with a RANDOM knob. • The filter LFO now starts on the Random shape.

What's New in Version 1.3.1 Made for landscape • Every drawer now fits on screen in landscape, without scrolling. Same controls, laid out more neatly. • Open drawers hang down over the keyboard instead of squeezing it, and the keys they leave uncovered still play. Hide the keyboard • A new Keys button beside Drone hides the on-screen keyboard, giving its room to the knobs and drawers. Tap it again to bring the keyboard back. Smoother to play • Knobs grab your finger the moment you touch them, so they turn even inside a scrolling drawer. • Naming and saving a preset no longer causes clicks or dropouts in a drone that's playing. Better starting points • The filter starts at 12 o'clock, and double-tapping it takes it back there. • The ARP starts slower: 80 BPM, quarter notes, random order. Double-tap RATE to return to 80. • MOTION opens on the controller, and new motions are timed in seconds by default.

What's New in Version 1.3.0 MOTION — record your knob moves and play them back • Tap REC, turn any knobs and play a few notes: DroneSynth loops your movement, in bars to the tempo or freely in seconds. • Drones are held right through the loop, so a slow filter sweep over a held note just keeps breathing. • Each preset keeps its own motion. Load the preset and its movement comes back. • Take over any knob by hand while it plays; it rejoins the motion when the loop comes round. Your iPhone or iPad as a wireless controller • Play the DroneSynth plugin in Logic Pro, GarageBand or any AUv3 host from your iPhone or iPad over Wi-Fi. • Every knob, preset and note you play is sent to the plugin, and your host can record it as automation. • Tap your Mac or iPad in the MOTION tab to connect; it reconnects by itself next time. • On a Mac, set Audio MIDI Setup › MIDI Network › "Who may connect to me" to Anyone once. Motion and the controller are a one-time purchase. The plugin follows a controller for free. Also new • The DroneSynth plugin's own knob moves can be recorded as automation in Logic Pro and other hosts. • Smoother filter cutoff automation, without pops. • Projects reopen with every plugin setting as it was saved.

NEW: MASTER TUNING A TUNE drawer retunes the whole synth up to 100 cents either way from standard pitch, showing A4 to a tenth of a hertz - 440.0 Hz by default, or 432.0 Hz and anything in between. Turn the knob, step a cent at a time with − and +, or double-tap the knob to return to 440. Or jump straight to 432, 442, 444 Hz and other popular pitches under PITCHES. Each preset remembers its own tuning. IN THE PLUGIN • Master tuning is on the hardware panel's top rail and can be automated from your host. • The plugin now opens as its one-page hardware panel in Logic Pro on the Mac, as it does in GarageBand on iPad, and keeps that shape as you resize it.

NEW: ARP / SEQ An arpeggiator and step sequencer inspired by classic analog hardware, in its own drawer next to the Looper. • ARP: hold a chord, and it plays the notes in turn - in the order you played them, up and down, or shuffled - across up to two extra octaves. • SEQ: record up to 256 steps, with rests and ties, into any of three patterns, then play them back transposed from any key. • HOLD keeps it going after you let go; a new chord takes over from the old one. • Set the rate by knob or TAP, with straight and triplet divisions from 1/4 to 1/16, and a GATE knob for staccato or legato. The RATE light flashes in time, even while stopped. • Your settings and patterns are saved with your presets. IN THE PLUGIN • ARP / SEQ works in the AUv3 too, and follows your host's tempo and transport. • All ten of its settings can be automated from your host. • A new one-page hardware panel for GarageBand's plugin strip, with every control in reach.
