Bird song capture Say "sound bite" while recording and BirdScribe starts capturing the bird instead of your voice. Tap to stop, say "all done", or leave it and it closes itself at 45 seconds. Already know the bird? Say its name straight after the trigger: "sound bite, rufous fantail". That saves the recording and logs a heard only observation, ready for eBird. Your recordings Song captures are saved to your phone as lossless audio and listed under the music note in the Trips header.
