Halftone connects straight to the places you already keep comics: Komga and Kavita (native, not just OPDS), Audiobookshelf, any OPDS catalog, SMB shares on your NAS, WebDAV, Dropbox, OneDrive, and the files on your device. No account with us. No middleman server.
HOLD ZOOM
Reading comics on an iPhone used to mean pinching, dragging, and losing your place. Hold Zoom fixes it: press and hold anywhere and the page magnifies, then pan with the same finger — joystick-style, one-handed, made for dense pages and small lettering. Release to ease back, or keep the zoom and keep reading. It's reading-direction aware, too: Western pages zoom to the top-left first, manga to the top-right. Free for everyone — no unlock, no trial, no asterisk.

Premium adds the connected half — servers, cloud drives, streaming, iCloud sync, backup, and the privacy tools — plus the deluxe reader touches: the page curl, the spine shadow and margins, and Match Page backgrounds. One-time lifetime unlock, or a small subscription if you prefer. Same features either way. Nothing you imported or downloaded is ever deleted if you stop paying.
YOUR COMICS NEVER MEET OUR SERVERS — WE DON'T HAVE ANY
The app supplies no content and phones no one home. Your files and your servers are the only inputs, credentials stay in your Keychain, and there are no ad SDKs.

NEW
• Stream CBR/RAR comics page by page. Most RAR archives now open on demand straight from your server — no more waiting for the whole file to download. Anything that can't be streamed falls back to a full download automatically.
• Share Page. Save or share the page you're reading as an image, right from the reader.
• Progress sync for local comics. Reading progress now syncs for imported files too — open the same comic on another device, or re-import it later, and you're back on your page.
• Unhiding comics for the first time now offers to set up your PIN.
IMPROVED
• Synced folders are sturdier: better browsing, smarter duplicate handling, and more reliable re-scans.
• Remote CBR/RAR reading is faster — page indexes are cached, so reopening a comic is quick.
FIXED
• Wi-Fi and file import issues.
• Vertical reader: "Go to Page" now lands exactly where you asked, and very tall pages display at the correct height.
